Accessibility Statement

This statement was last updated on 12th August 2026.

We at Newum Ltd are working to make our site www.newumltd.co.uk accessible to people with disabilities.

1. Our commitment

Newum Limited wants www.newumltd.co.uk to be usable by as many people as reasonably possible, including people who use assistive technology or have visual, hearing, motor or cognitive access needs.

NEWUM is a private commercial business and is not presenting this statement as certification under the public-sector accessibility regulations. We nevertheless aim to follow recognised good practice and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA where reasonably practicable.

2. Using this website

We aim for visitors to be able to:

  • Zoom and resize text without losing essential content or functionality.

  • Navigate the main content using a keyboard.

  • Use clear headings, labels and link wording.

  • Understand content written in reasonably plain language.

  • Use the enquiry form with visible field labels and error guidance.

  • Access meaningful images with alternative text where an image conveys information.

  • Use the website across common desktop, tablet and mobile screen sizes.

3. Current accessibility status

This website has not yet undergone a formal independent accessibility audit. NEWUM therefore does not claim that every page or component is fully compliant with WCAG 2.2 AA. Accessibility will be checked as the site is completed and after material design or functionality changes.

Some limitations may arise from third-party Wix components, embedded content or documents supplied by others. Where we identify a barrier, we will consider a proportionate fix or an accessible alternative.

4. Feedback and alternative formats

If you cannot access any part of the website, need information in another format, or wish to report an accessibility problem, email enquiries@newumltd.co.uk. Please tell us the page, the problem encountered, the format you need and any assistive technology/browser used. We aim to acknowledge accessibility enquiries within five working days and provide a practical response as soon as reasonably possible.

5. Ongoing improvement

  • Check colour contrast and avoid communicating meaning by colour alone.

  • Use consistent heading order and descriptive page titles.

  • Add alternative text to informative images and mark decorative images appropriately.

  • Provide keyboard-visible focus and logical navigation order.

  • Use accessible labels and instructions on forms.

  • Avoid unnecessary motion and ensure important content is not hidden on mobile.

  • Review uploaded PDFs or provide an accessible HTML alternative where practicable.

6. Preparation and review

This statement was prepared on 12 August 2026 and should be reviewed after the website is tested, after a substantial change, and at least annually. The live page should show the date it was last reviewed.
